The Dwarven Wedding Session 6

From D&D Wiki

Session #6 of The Dwarven Wedding.

Date: October 23rd, 2016

Summary

After finding out all they could from the two Humans they didn't kill and put in their own hotel room, our heroes let them go thinking, "Well, they probably live in town somewhere..."

Remnant finally finds time to speak to Creed, the apothecary, and discuss the mysteries of his past. Before they sentient, they were a simple a font of knowledge, but once they fell during the Fall of Torunn, they became aware of themselves. Remnant warns Creed of the darkness in Bulf to which Creed trades this information for a contact: Professor Redfurl, an elf who has been studying the darkness of Torunn since the fall and the sudden disappearance of the Underdark in Thain-win since the fall.

It is revealed that Remnant fell in the library of Torunn during what he believes to be an Earthquake.

It's after this encounter with Creed that our heroes decide to set off to Thain-win through the well traveled trading paths through Skraff, Twain, and Riverbend via boat--if they can find one. Though, Remnant knew of a path through the mountains directly north that could reach the unmarked city of Raa's Revenge, the group decided against this, likely, dangerous path.

Upon leaving Trader's Den, our heroes hear a Gnome crier in a square calling for the whereabouts of their companion, Luana. In this crier's speech, it is said that the enchanted mask shield she carries belongs to Agora Melilth in Kase as it is an old family heirloom. In hearing this, the group decides to sneak out of Trader's Den--given Remnant and Verity's connection to Luana.

On the road, two nights pass on the way to Skraff. On the road each night, the heroes found themselves able to camp with other traders and their traveling sales carts traveling north. But on the second night, hours outside of Skraff in the ill-named "Skeevy Skraff" micro-village, they were accosted by the man from Trader's Den and his two companions--The Tytherion Boys, bounty hunters from South Kase. After a short battle, the three left to lick their wounds, but doubt and fear crept into the party's minds as Luana revealed that there will likely be more of them coming to look for her.
