Torunn is a sunken city in the moutains. It is said it was eaten by the pure evil of the Underdark. Remnant is from this city.

Background

The city dwells within a monstrous cavern and is walled on all sides. The underground river runs through the city (south to north).

There are three gates to the city, Namrul (west), Tara (north), and Helia (south)--named after the great Mother-Queens of the city's founding.

Namrul leads to the old road and was the primary connector to greater Turon for ages. A great alliance with the elves of Thain-win was forged in the making of this road.

Tara leads north and upwards to the mines of the Thifgan mountains. This seemingly endless mine of gems, iron, gold, silver, and more supplied the Dwarven people for generations, even allowing them to form peaceful treaties with the Dragons who built their hoardes atop and within the mountain.

Helia leads southward to Vi'Leigh where the elves of the forest traded with the Dwarves out of necessity.

Notes

It was discovered in Session 22 that Drow have taken over this city and have lived there since the fall of Torunn. It is being lead by a priestess of Lolth named Kharza-khad. In Session 23 the Drider Dra'kar tells the heroes that Torunn has been renamed as Mis Kadah.
