Olo Valsuth

Olo is a religious zealot turned outlaw whose religion is worship of the great Void beyond. He simply wishes keep low and out on the outskirts of the law as he pursues his lust for great cosmic power. He sees The Swarm as a competing force against the Void. They are many and their masses oppose the Void in their volume and unwillingness to die out.

Session Notes

7/12/2020

• We're 24 miles from Fort Gallant... about a day's journey
• We heard Jaldamarrak fighting off bugs as we ran away
• off in the distance, hundreds if not thousands of insects are behind us. We need to keep moving.
• The spaceport from orbit has crashed into the planet
• A full evac is in process, our radio announces
• We're running, we rest a bit after some damage, then continue moving
• We find a dead civilian
  • After a small fight, we find a bag.
• Another few hours, and Pepper passes out from exposure. Bun carries her, Olo says, "You care for her, but sometimes we must separate the wheat from the chaff."
• We get to a bridge after another few hours.
• Another emergency broadcast: The SDF forces have planted their explosives.
• We begin to run and suddenly, Olo is killed by an insect and Bun has no choice byt to run. THe mote around Olo's head winks out as Bun looks down at his bleeding body.
• Bun, carrying Pepper, runs.
• He barely makes it, passes out... and is woken up about Chapman--part of the third battalion

• We are on Suskillon where the swarm has been ravaging the planet for years
• We've been pinged to be assigned to a new squad
• Rumors around:
  • A lot of the soldiers are new, the deathrate is incredibly high
  • 90% of the forces have been withdrawn from battles
  • The swarm is being controlled by extra-planar demons???
  • Super Swarm Weapon that controls the swarm???
• What we do know: We meet Jaldamarrak, a vesk
  • Dude used to work as a mercenary
  • Has some awards
  • Turned down an offer to join the Knights of Galerian
• He's our new commanding officer
• We are part of the "Midnight Squad"
• We set out in the evening, outside of Brinoa
• Near the end of our shift, suddenly Briona is under attack and we decided to run back to base
• But we're ambushed by two bugs!
• Olo gets one attached to him but he rips it off his body and uses his Solerian power to DEVOUR the beasts head
• We get another emergency call out from Jaldamarrak - we need to get to a loading bay to protect civilians as they evacuate the city
• Brinoa is under attack
• We find Jaldamarrak, we're directed to the north, to fend off swarm trying to enter the city
