The Dwarven Wedding Session 28

Session #28 of The Dwarven Wedding.

Summary

Still exploring the old barracks adjacent to the sewer system, our heroes find and identify:

• Horn of the Halfling Herald (Wondrous Item): After blowing this small horn, any halfling who could hear it can hear you speak, regardless of how loud you speak, other noise, etc. The effect lasts for one minute, and the horn can only be used once per hour.
• Wand of Magic Missiles - 8 charges
• 2 potions of Greater healing
• 1 empty potion bottle
• An iron amulet with a tiny secret compartment
• A twelve-sided die which rattles when rolled

They explore a bit further and find a spiral staircase. From the staircase they can hear chanting. They sneak up the stairs to a small store room and get to a door where the chanting appears to be coming from. After some contemplation, they burst into the room and see Kharza-khad summoning something over a swirling pool of black liquid. Four dark elf babies sit on alters, attended by four other priestesses. Along the walls, a dozen male dark elves are chained, moaning in pain or sadness, no one can be sure.

Kharza-khad is both beautiful and terrifying. Dark, purple skin, very little clothing, gold chains hang all over her body. She wears a large nose ring and numerous earrings. Here eyes are a piercing green, almost neon. Long, white hair falls to her upper thigh with lines of black, orange, and red.

Kharza-khad reveals to the party that she can give them the ingredients to save Remnant if they stop now. The trade? Redfurl, Veiko, and Tolnor. Three folks who she can use for her "plans."

Our heroes barely hesitate to fight, this is pure evil. Hadarri and Luana begin to free the men on the walls. Torunn Torunn kills an elven child, the sorceresses fight hard to kill their enemies. After a long, long battle, the final moments build to a climax.

And the session ends.
