Summary

Gathering at The Chopping Block after a milk run of a protection mission, Deadman and MRV are caught by surprise when a group of very aggressive members of The Cutters show up to deliver a message of violence to the restaurants patrons. Among the patrons are several members of the Golden Lotus and a couple of members of The Family.

In the ensuing madness, Tred, grandson of the restaurants owner Wing, is shot and wounded severely. Deadmand and MRV defend themselves and the patrons as best they can, impressing The Family's security team and gaining mob contacts within The Family.

Wing, the owner of The Chopping Block, threatens present Golden Lotus members to talk to his old contacts within the gang, impressing upon everyone present that his restaurant is to be neutral ground and take no part in gang activities.

Seeking to avoid getting caught up in the brewing gang war, Deadman and MRV look for a job to take their minds off things and maybe get them a little bit of nuyen.

Hitting up one of MRV's contacts in the DPD, the duo find there's a bounty out on The Red, the Cutter gang lieutenant that attacked The Chopping Block. But when they attempt to track him down by running the plates of the car he was using, they find nothing but a ruined mess of vehicles and call off the search.

Looking for something perhaps a little less dangerous and a little more in their wheelhouse, the two pick up a job from a dwarf hacker with the handle 'D4ve'. D4ve pays them to infiltrate a local office of Brilliance Enterprises and install a device that would allow remote access into the corps system. With a little sweet talking, the right knowledge, and some quick fingers, they place the device quite easily and return to D4ve for payment, which then receive in credsticks.
