The Family, otherwise known as the Vory a Russian mafia group, are the collection of families surrounding the influential Zolotov family who have built a sort of oligarchy in the sprawl.
Treated as a sort of royalty from the old country, the Zolotov family and their appointed captains influence local businesses and absorb local gangs to raise funds, run contraband, and feed/train/supply a small militarized force within the sprawl.
The Family controls much of the southern Detroit sprawl, including the Detroit Metro Airport, and a restaurant/bar called "The Weary Traveler".
