From weapons deals with local gangs and runners to lucrative contracts with private security companies like Lone Star, The Host was making money hand over fist.  He laundered what nuyen he gained through the front of his fairly popular Sprawl-based club, The Void. In addition to arms dealing, it was rumored that he was working with Ares Macrotechnologies on a secret project for the next wave of police and security forces.

Hassan was seen entering The Void on the final night of its operation (a highly publicized event) where he chatted with a few of the neighborhoods influential folks that were in attendance. He then was seen having a lengthy discussion with a man and an Ares security agent at the bar before heading upstairs to his office suite. He was later found dead alongside the two Ares representatives with much of his office suite ransacked.  Online forums speculate it was a business deal gone wrong, a disagreement spouting up between the two parties. Others yet speculate a targeted hit on these individuals by assassins opposed to the business dealings between Hassan and the Megacorp Ares. Several shootings were reported to have taken place, though relations to the deaths of Hassan Qalat and the two Ares figures are still unknown.
The Host was killed in his nightclub when Mirrors emptied a full clip into his head following a fith that left many injured.
