Three and a half feet tall with a wide, cheerful grin, Lem is not an imposing figure even for a gnome. His expressive face is topped with a loose knot of dark brown-green hair and below his hawkish nose is a trimmed and pointed goatee of similar color. He is wiry and quick, his body tough and weathered from years working in the wilderness.  When traveling, he favors simple clothing: a forest colored poncho wrap over a stained cotton shirt and brown breeches, and worn leather boots. When out and about he wears an almost-too-large, floppy, tan-colored canvas hat.
