Pence is the largest trading city around and the first real Human city (as far as the timeline goes). They trade with other continents and most goods from Turon come through this city (by way of Portsmith).
The ruling family (Pence) are aggressive capitalists who still do not care for the Elves since the great Elven-Human war.

Commerce is preferred before all else. Most large businesses have large personal guard groups and the city pays taxes upwards at staggering rates. The ruling family consists of four members:
- Ethel Pence - The family matriarch who oversees the larger companies, specifically around import and export
- Sendry Pence - Eldest son of the family, he runs the city bank
- Courtso Pence - Middle child. Head of the city guard. Runs the city with a gold fist.
- Encya Pence - Youngest daughter of Ethel, she oversees the merchant guilds and the fighting pits
