Until it was attacked by the Swarm, Ilemchuuva was a planet of flat plains and gently rolling hills, with only few small mountain ranges. It once had a generally temperate
climate (except at the poles) and several unique species of both flora and fauna. It was colonized by shirrens several centuries ago and eventually became a thriving cosmopolitan world. Now that it has been devastated by the Swarm, Ilemchuuva is mostly a wasteland strewn with dangerous fissures and pelted with regular storms of acid rain. The planet has a single barren moon named Chatchamiq.

Places of Interest
*Clade Company HQ: Once an underground community home to a many insectoid races (including, but not limited to, bolida, shirren, haan, and trox) who felt more at home below Ilemchuuva's surface. It has been repurposed into the command center for Clade Company as the tunnels are unknown to the Swarm and easily defended if necessary.
*The Extractor Imago: The extractor imago is nearly 250 feet long from where its head is embedded into the ground to the end of its swollen abdomen, and its bulk soars nearly 100 feet into the air. Most of this immensity is simply storage for the various resources it has been sucking out of the planet, but the creature’s major organs are accessible and traversable to allow Swarm effigenes to maintain it and manage its functions.
*Uudz: The only city left remotely intact after the Swarm invasion, Uudz is largely an abandoned ruin. Its spaceport has been thoroughly destroyed and half the city now rises hundreds of feet above the other half courtesy of the groundquakes caused by the Extractor Imago's harvesting.
*Zessh University: Zessh University is located near the northwestern edge of Uudz, west of the large rift bisecting the city. Even at its peak, the university never had more than a few thousand students, and most of the academic activity took place in a single large facility, with student dormitories, a few research labs, and a separate administration building standing nearby. Of these, only the main academic building is still standing, and only its central and eastern portions seem to be intact; the rest of the university’s structures (including much of the academic building’s western wing) have collapsed due to the initial Swarm attack and the subsequent tremors and upheavals caused by the extractor imago.

Utraneus is the third planet in the Suskillon system. Shallow oceans span most of the world’s surface, scattered with islands and small continents. Three moons with wildly differing orbits contribute to the planet’s complex tidal systems and harsh seasonal monsoons. This combination of constant wind, rain, and waves would cause rapid erosion to most landmasses, but much of Utraneus’s surface is composed of the compressed remains of coral and mollusks. Even as the tides wear down the land, the high mineral content of the water rebuilds it. The resulting karst landscape is riddled with caves and pits. Little surface water remains above sea level, due to easy drainage, lack of soil, and sparse vegetation besides lichen and algae. Wholly organic life is rare above the waves, and most such creatures have evolved magical traits to survive. In the seas, aquatic life flourishes, but the shallow depths limit the size natural evolution can attain, and no native life-forms have achieved sentience.

The frst intelligent creatures to set foot on Utraneus were the shirrens during their exodus from the Swarm. They constructed a shrine to Hylax on the largest of the planet’s landmasses (later named Aqanat), but a sinkhole caused it to collapse into an extensive cave system. Seeing this as an omen, the shirrens turned these caves into a ritual pilgrimage
of their journey so far, with symbolic reenactments of events that would become shrouded in myth. They then moved on, joining with the residents of Suskillon, the fifth planet in the system, and leaving a more permanent colony in the Chuuva system for the Pact Worlds.

Decades later, as the population of Suskillon began to reach the limits of what the planet could bear, the world’s government began the process of settling Utraneus. In 121 ag, they established a space station in orbit around the planet. Called Oddrock, it traveled in an orbit geosynchronous to a proposed landing site on the continent of Aqanat. It took several decades of study to develop chemical and mechanical means of stabilizing Utraneus’s fragile land base, but settlers laid the groundwork for the city that would become New Grakka in 201 ag, named after the birthplace of the engineer who developed the final stabilization formula. Guided by shirren scientists involved with the project, New Grakka was built almost directly on top of the underground shrine to Hylax.

The first New Grakkans were determined. Managing the planet’s constant erosion and sediment deposition drove them to new heights of engineering and improvisation, and now the colony is a thriving metropolis. Powered by the abundant energy harnessed by wind and tidal turbines, factories near the city refne the planet’s silicates into computer and starship components for export.

Due to the limited organic material on the surface, most plant-based agriculture is hydroponic, while aquaculture provides most protein on the planet. Previous attempts to introduce nonnative species to Utraneus resulted in the airborne pests called muottas, so customs and imports are now tightly regulated. Utraneus’s seas are too shallow, bright, and turbulent for most sapient aquatic species and large underwater beasts, but some manage to survive in those waters. The original stabilization formula worked best on dry rock, but a new variant has succeeded with underwater limestone, and there is now a growing population of kalos from the Pact Worlds.

The constant erosion of Utraneus’s terra firma, caused by wind and waves, stymied early attempts of Suskilloners to colonize the planet, but in 201 ag, the discovery of a complex
chemical formula to strengthen the brittle limestone provided a foundation for the first settlement on the continent of Aqanat. Named New Grakka, the settlement drew hundreds of colonists with the promise of rare components and low-cost, nigh-infnite wind and tidal power. It soon grew into a thriving metropolis and remains the planet’s largest settlement.

Founded as it was by engineers, New Grakka values practical solutions to problems. In its early days, the colony devised its infrastructure around robotics and automation, freeing its initially small population for more complex tasks. This heavy reliance on machinery has continued into the present day; locals claim their city has vending machines for nearly
everything. Due to New Grakka’s entrepreneurial culture, one’s career feld and professional standing are the most important elements of social status, and given the many challenges
facing any half-tamed world, most people spend more time with their coworkers than their biological relatives. Thus, the basic unit of social organization, often outranking the bonds of species and planet of origin, is the “shop.” A New Grakkan’s life typically revolves around their workplace, whatever their feld; one’s laboratory, office, or store is as likely to be called “the shop” as a traditional physical workshop.

New Grakka’s education system is closely tied to the planet’s industries, and nearly all students serve apprenticeships in the course of their secondary schooling. Young people are expected to explore career paths and choose a field early in life, while parents compete to place their children in the most prestigious workshops in their felds. The social ressure to succeed makes New Grakkans a competitive bunch, unafraid of taking risks. Opportunities for professional advancement are pursued vigorously, and “jumping shop” to a new job or company is one of the boldest moves a New Grakkan can make.

Now most New Grakkans are assisting with defensive preparations and welcoming the refugees; many of them have family ties to Suskillon, and the sudden brutality of the Swarm assault has aroused public sympathy. Nevertheless, sporadic riots are breaking out. Some of these are due to resentment of the temporary martial law: New Grakka has mobilized its reserve militia to support the defensive preparations, but many of these recruits are inexperienced, and there is a general lack of clarity regarding the chain of command between local officials and the SDF. Shortages caused by requisitions and the commandeering of strategically placed structures are also points of contention.

* Lieutenant Gorham: A human soldier approaches the PCs and introduces himself as Lieutenant Gorham. He dispenses with the formalities of an enlisted soldier and says, “You all made it out of Brinnoa alive? Not many members of the Fifth Battalion were as lucky as you. Commander Najiri has asked to receive situation reports directly from all new arrivals immediately.
**A human male soldier posted at Fort Gallant, Gorham is the personal aide to Hadiya Najiri.
* Hadiya Najiri: A human woman in a long military coat lies on the table, being tended to by a pair of SDF medics. A nametag on her shoulder reads “H. Najiri.”
**Commander Najiri is a human female with fair skin, short, dark hair and a trio of scars down the right side of her face. One of her legs has been replaced with a crude, but effective, military prosthetic. She took command of Midnight Squad upon their arrival at Fort Gallant and dispatched them to rescue a priest from the Hylaxian temple in the Jurdos mountain range.
* Janxer: Fort Gallant’s quartermaster is a spry ysoki engineer named Janxer. She operates out of a mobile tech station in the back of a half-track SDF vehicle.
* Susreth Susaro: A male lashunta wearing an SDF uniform emerges from the guard building. His eyes are wild, his hair is disheveled, and he is waving his laser pistol over his head.
**Susaro is a damaya lashunta male with olive green skin and bright red hair. He was a member of the missing Second Batallion and suffered some form of psychic attack. Believing he was under attack by Swarm creatures, he sheltered in the guard post of the Greater Sahtor Waterworks until Midnight Squad found him and brought him back to his senses. He joined Midnight Squad in a non-combat capacity.
* Reda Cooper: The crowd seems upset, their anger and confusion directed toward a human woman in a business suit standing in front of the doors, flanked by two security officers wielding laser rifles.
**Cooper is a human female with fair skin and blonde hair. She manages the Longship Agricultural Alliance processing center in Lynmari and was preventing its citizens from evacuating to Reos City. Upon investigation, Midnight Squad discovered that she had been controlled by a bodysnatcher slime. Its motivations for keeping the civilians in Lynmari are unknown.
*Xelonan: Stepping through the wooden doors leading to the inner sanctum, the PCs hear a low chanting and see dozens of ghostly Swarm creatures whirling throughout the chamber. This phenomenon is centered on an older male shirren, who floats a foot above the floor, his eyes emanating wispy green smoke. This is the priest Xelonan.
**Xelonan is a shirren male with an iridescent blue carapace and red compound eyes. He is a priest of Hylax, and was rescued by Midnight Squad from a temple in the Jurdos Mountains. He claimed to have vital information about the swarm, and was convincing enough that the SDF sent two squads to collect him.
*Kilora Gishi: Leading them is an older human woman, who greets you in a weary and frightened tone. "My name is Kilora Gishi. I'm on the city council here in Reos."
**Gishi is an human female, her dark skin heavily lined with age. Her hair has gone completely white. Councilwoman Gishi was traveling with a group of civilians before being evacuated by Midnight Squad.
*Otvash: A massive vesk steps forward, the hilt of a modern greataxe sticking up over one shoulder. "Well, if it isn't Scum. Thought you died with the rest of The Fifth. Guess you're harder to kill than you look."
The fifth planet from its system’s sun, Suskillon features a diverse range of biomes and plentiful resources. Two major continents in opposing hemispheres, known as Alappu Major and Alappu Minor, make up the majority of the planet’s land. Oceans account for the rest of the planet’s surface, with thousands of basalt rocky island archipelagos speckled between the mainlands. The northern reaches of Alappu Major are a large semiarid desert, while the rest of the massive continent features plains, rolling hills, and mountain ranges. The most notable geographical feature of Alappu Minor is a massive freshwater lake known as the Stone Sea, which surrounds a dormant volcano. The lake gets its name from the billions of pieces of pumice stone that float on its surface.

Due to the tilt on Suskillon’s axis and the ecliptic orbit it follows around its sun, every few years the planet experiences radical weather patterns. Known locally as “Dry Summers” and “Dead Winters,” these two seasons last a couple of extra months and present more extreme temperatures. The planet is home to a diverse ecosystem, from the scavenging Aluppan dart weasel to the deadly brush stalker. Much like grasses on other worlds, Suskillon trees have thick trunk-like stalks and inner cavities that collect rain water.

Sapient life evolved on Suskillon millennia ago and has long since adapted to the planet’s unusual weather patterns. Humans make up the vast percentage of the population and
have spread across the entirety of the planet. All are citizens of a worldwide democracy that was formed at some point during the Gap, with a governing body consisting of a president, a forum of magistrates that interpret major legal decisions, and regional governors who meet on a yearly basis to discuss policy. The seat of this government is in the capital city of Brinnoa on Alappu Major. The remainder of Suskillon is divided into a few large megaplex cities, agrarian farming regions, mining facilities, and the occasional spaceport.

Shortly after the Gap, several thousand members of the shirren race were welcomed on Suskillon during their flight from the Swarm, bringing the worship of Hylax with them to
the region. While the rest of the shirren continued with their exodus, the immigrants who settled on Suskillon quickly integrated into the planet’s society and have grown to make up about 18 percent of the current populace. In 87 AG, explorers from the Pact Worlds, directed by descendants of the shirrens who passed through that system, made peaceful contact with Suskillon. To this day they remain trading partners with strong diplomatic ties, and some citizens of the Pact Worlds and the Veskarium have since migrated to Suskillon (and vice versa). However, they have yet to enter a formal alliance.

Over the past 2 centuries, Suskillon’s civilization has begun to expand further into the system, colonizing the system’s third planet Utraneus and setting up scientific research facilities on various moons. To combat the threats of pirates and other interstellar dangers, the once-terrestrial Suskillon Defense Force, or SDF, has since branched out into space. The SDF’s Space Corps has been tasked with the responsibility of defending the planet and its outlying interests and is the most prestigious posting of Suskillon’s military.
*Stone Sea: This location marks the landing zone of the first Swarm forces on Suskillon. The Fifth Battalion of the Suskillon Defense Force (SDF) was closest to the fighting and suffered heavy casualties, resulting in a Fifth Battalion made up largely of civilian volunteers, offworlders, and hired mercenaries.
*Camp Cavalier: A small encampment just outside the capital city of Brinnoa, notable only as the camp in which Midnight Squadron was assembled.
*The Kerozan Bridge: This huge suspension bridge spans the Dethomar River. The bridge was detonated to prevent Swarm forces from crossing west into the Sahtor region.
*Fort Gallant: A small SDF training facility that appears to be a converted summer camp. Fort Gallant is also the muster point for the remaining SDF forces before the final evacuation of Suskillon.
*The Eskue Correctional Penitentiary (The Scorpion): A small, medium-security prison along the coast, northwest of Reos City. At the outset of the war, it was nearly emptied as prisoners were allowed to volunteer for the SDF to fill the recently decimated Fifth Battalion. The guards were reduced to a skeleton crew as people quit or also joined the military. Fewer than a hundred prisoners and only five guards remained behind. The prison was able to operate while the regional government worked on the staffing deficit, but when the facility received word of Brinnoa’s fall, there was a riot. The guards fled and the prisoners escaped during the chaos.
*The Greater Sahtor Waterworks: A large industrial site with tall, metallic smokestacks. The waterworks are built alongside a small river. A small guardhouse controls the bridge that allows access to the facility from the main road. The bridge itself is set behind a line of barbed wire fence.
*Lynmari: Nestled in the foothills of the Jurdos Mountains, the small town of Lynmari consists of a few dozen buildings constructed adjacent to the headquarters of the Longship Agricultural Alliance, a company that owns the surrounding farmland. The majority of the citizens work for Longship, while the rest are in the service industry, employed by the handful of shops and restaurants in town.
*The Sahtor Regional Spaceport: The primary spaceport for the Sahtor Region is located in Reos City, a metropolis some 400 miles from Fort Gallant. The spaceport, along with the rest of Reos City, was largely destroyed as The Swarm swept across Suskillon.

----

**Janxer is a ysoki female whose white fur is patterned with splotches of orange and dark brown. While she holds the role of quartermaster, she is not a part of the SDF military hierarchy.
**Loachwurt is a human male approaching middle age. His hair is thinning and his ruddy face is pocked with old scars. He almost caused a riot in Fort Gallant before an SDF trooper dispersed the crowd.
* The Newles Family: The cornered family--Cottra, Myrriol, and their daughter Zebeka--exits the vehicle and thanks the PCs for saving their lives.
**The Newleses were nearly killed by Swarm dredgers before Midnight Squad was able to rescue them. They informed Midnight Squad of the fuel lockdown in Lynmari.
**Otvash is a vesk male mercenary. His scales are primarily red, with only small patches of dark green mottling his skin. He was hired on to fight with the SDF alongside SKM-19 and was thought killed in the Battle of Stone Sea.
*Kenda Vickan: To Councilwoman Gishi's right sits a willowy half-elf, her coveralls still smeared with grease.

Built high above Suskillon at the high-tech Flux Industries Spaceyards, the Observation Ketch is the ideal conveyance for intrasystem travel. Designed with comfort, luxury, and security in mind, the Observation Ketch comes with two dozen transparent aluminum scenic view ports perfect for observing the stars and other astronomical phenomena, as well as—when the ship descends into a planet’s atmosphere—terrestrial sights such as distant packs of wildlife and towering geographical features. During long travel times, guests can relax in their luxurious quarters or make use of the ship’s HAC. A single cargo hold provides adequate room for passengers’ luggage and a small amount of goods an enterprising crew might wish to transport.

Though the Observation Ketch is not a particularly large vessel, its many chambers are split between two decks—one dedicated to passenger comfort and one meant for the crew. A lift provides transportation between the decks, and a set of stairs connects the engineering section and the cargo hold. However, don’t think that the Ketch’s lower deck is devoid of amenities. The captain receives their own quarters, while the rest of the crew share a spacious barracks. They are all served by shared lavatory facilities and can relax in the fully stocked galley in between shifts.

An Observation Ketch also boasts enough weaponry to protect itself from hostile entities while in dangerous territory. The vessel is armed with state-of-the-art twin lasers, a deadly light plasma torpedo launcher, a versatile gyrolaser, and a laser net capable of stopping most targeted missiles in their tracks. Should these defenses (and the vessel’s basic shields) prove inadequate, the Observation Ketch is equipped with several emergency escape pods.

This luxurious starship can be crewed by one to six people (though the standard crew size is four), and any size of crew is aided by the vessel’s on-board computer and mid-range sensors. Some owners outft their Observation Ketches with Drift engines after a few years of operation as they grow bored with the experiences their home system has to offer and wish to travel to other systems and see new things, but Ketches generally come off the production line without such capability, relying solely on their conventional thrusters.

Places of Interest

----
The fifth planet from its system’s sun, Suskillon features a diverse range of biomes and plentiful resources.

Places of Interest
*Lynmari: Nestled in the foothills of the Jurdos Mountains, the small town of Lynmari consists of a few dozen buildings constructed adjacent to the headquarters of the Longship
Agricultural Alliance, a company that owns the surrounding farmland. The majority of the citizens work for Longship, while the rest are in the service industry, employed by the handful of shops and restaurants in town.

**Cooper is a human female with fair skin and blonde hair. She manages the Longship Agricultural Alliance processing center in Lynmari and was preventing its citizens from evacuating to Reos City.

Brian: /* Qualities */

Background
<p>
Nathaniel VonEvert spent the years before becoming a runner in a college that specialized in the arcane arts. His mother was a very talented arcanist and his father came from money, so they had the means to give him as good an education as money could buy. However, Nathaniel didn't apply himself to his studies, instead spent his college years at parties and experimenting with different things. One of those things was a shooting range that his friend took him to. It was at that moment that Nathaniel fully realized his love for ballistic weaponry. He kept up to date on the latest announcements from all the major weapon makers.
</p>
<p>
Things came to a tipping point when he used some of the tuition money his parents had give him to get a smart link system embedded into his eye. His mother was furious that he had damaged his soul/magic potential and his father was equally upset that his money had gone to waste. They kicked him out of their lives, taking everything away from him, save for the spirit mentor they had bought for him. The spirit did not care about such earthly concerns, understanding only that it had a contract to fulfill.
</p>
<p>
No longer having the vast financial resources he had grown accustomed to, Nathaniel quickly ran afoul of several very short tempered arms dealers. Rather than ending up at the bottom of a lake somewhere, Nathaniel adopted the persona of Smoking Mirror and took to balancing the scales by doing jobs for the people that he owed money. The work suited him, and after he had payed off what he owed, he wasn't sure what else to do with himself. He didn't want to keep working for the people he had previously slighted by not paying them on time, which is how he ended up running for Orphan when she returned to Detroit.
</p>

Appearance
Smoke and Mirrors is a dwarf of average height (for a dwarf) with medium length hair and a beard that he likes to keep short after it was grabbed one too many times in scuffles. He wears a robe-like coat that conceals his armored clothing and plethora of weaponry.

Skills
<b>Spell Casting</b>

Adept in the ways of magic, Mirrors specializes in illusory and mind-altering magic.

<b>Combat</b>

Having a longstanding interest in firearms, Mirrors has more than a little knowledge of the various forms of weaponry on the streets as well as a sordid past of testing them out for himself. While working, he's known to carry upwards of four high-powered firearms on him, all ready for easy usage, some even smartlinked to his eyewear for targeting assistance.
Contacts
<b>Orphan</b>

One of the first contacts that Mirror made after leaving the academy, Orphan was his source of the work that allowed him to survive on his own and improve his skills.

<b>Amina</b>
<b>Hammah</b>

Qualities
<ul>
<b>Mentor Spirit: Cat</b>

<li>5 Karma</li>

<p>
Purchased by wealthy parents, the spirit cat by the name of Imupthapup (alternatively nicknamed "Hank") has helped foster Mirror's magical growth over time. In touch with the spirit plane as well as magic in the world around them, Hank can often pick up on details that Mirror and friends might miss.
</p>
<ul>
<li><b>Advantages</b></li>
<ul>
<li>+2 Gymnastics Tests</li>
<li>+2 Illusion spells/preparations/rituals</li>
</ul>
<li><b>Disadvantages</b></li>

Cat magicians toy with their prey. UNless you succeed a Charisma + Willpower(3) Test at the start of combat, you cannot make an attack that incapacitates your target. If you take any Physical damage, all the playing around stops.
<p>
Raised in a tech-savvy family, Kildara (aka 'Killy') was always ahead of those around her when it came to the Matrix. Much to her surprise, and her families displeasure, she discovered her natural talent came from her technomancer gifts. Distrusted for her gifts, Killy left her family in search of a new place to call home.
</p>
<p>
Traveling across the UCAS she came across MRV, Deadman, and Mirror, who put her technomancer skills to use and provided an accepting surrogate family.

Background
Tariel West, more commonly known as MRV, is an elven decker with a mean right cross. He was born into poverty in a Detroit slum and raised by a single mother. He resorted to hacking at a young age in an effort to raise his station. This quest has been largely unsuccessful. He fell in with an Ork named Hammer (or Hammah, to hear him say it) at a young age and took well to a life stealing cars. At the age of 22, he set out on his own to make a dishonest living with his technical skills.
Appearance
MRV is an Elf, and his build follows in line with most of his kind. At 5'3" he stands most of a foot shorter than the average human male. His wiry frame is layered in muscle, making him bulky for someone of his metatype. He has platinum blonde hair that falls almost to his shoulders. His hair is frequently pulled back into a tight ponytail. A generous person would describe his looks as "sharp," thought "rodent-like" would be a more common descriptor. Combined with the full sleeve tattoo, patterned after a circuit board, down his right arm, his distinctive face makes him stand out from a crowd.
Skills
<b>Decking</b>

MRV's hacking skills are broad, though perhaps less deep than a more focused decker's might be. His deck is a Microdeck Summit model, equipped with an Exploit program to make placing marks a little easier. He interfaces via a datajack implanted in his head, where he also has an implanted Simrig to record his experience.

<b>Social</b>

A life spent more or less alone on the streets has equipped MRV for weaseling his way out of situations he might get himself into. He can ingratiate himself well with most people, and he's used that affability to gain a certain degree of awareness. He knows his world- the gangs, the authorities, the law, and the local black market. He is also a linguistic dabbler, and can speak Mandarin, Japanese, Sperethiel, and Or'zet, in addition to English.

<b>Combat</b>

What MRV lacks in size, he makes up for in technique. He is a lifetime student of Krav Maga, which he augments with a pair of shock gloves. While he prefers to handle things in a non-lethal form, he understands that some situations call for a specialized tool. As such, he carries a Colt L36. His long, black trench coat doubles as armor, thanks to the defensive lining built into its fabric.
Contacts
<b>Hammah</b>

MRV and Hammah used to roll in The Takers together. They were friendly acquaintances during their time together, until MRV uncovered information about a pending ambush by a rival gang. This information effectively saved Hammah's life, and contributed to the growth of the gang. MRV parted ways with The Takers after their leader was killed in action and Hammah ascended to the position.

<b>Officer Grimm</b>

Officer Daniel Grimm is a beat-cop from MRV's neighborhood, with all the moral backbone of a sea cucumber. Anyone with enough credits can buy a blind eye, but he took a special liking to MRV after the decker dug up some dirt on his ex-wife during their messy divorce. Without MRV, his wife would have gotten the house.

<b>Slapdash</b>

A former member of The Takers, Slapdash was a sort of father figure for MRV as he came up in the streets. He's a rigger and served as a mechanic and weapons modder until a disagreement over what to do with a witness caused a rift between him and the former leadership. He was able to leave the gang without trouble because he had some kind of dirt on the (now deceased) head of The Takers.
Qualities
<b>Positive</b>

*<b>Analytical Mind</b>
**5 Karma
**Analytical Mind describes the uncanny ability to logically analyze information, deduce solutions to problems, or separate vital information from distractions and noise. It’s useful in cracking cyphers, solving puzzles, figuring out traps, and sifting through data. This quality gives the character a <b>+2 dice pool modifier to any Logic Tests involving pattern recognition, evidence analysis, clue hunting, or solving puzzles. This quality also reduces the time it takes the character to solve a problem by half.</b>
*<b>Lucky</b>
**12 Karma
**The dice roll and the coin flips this character's way more often than not, giving them the chance to drop jaws in amazement at her good fortune. <b>Lucky allows a character to possess an Edge attribute one point higher than their metatype maximum</b> (For example, a human character could raise their Edge to 8). Note that taking this quality does not actually increase the character's current edge rating, it just allows them the opportunity to do so; the Karma cost for gaining the extra point must still be paid. This quality can only be taken once and must be approved by the gamemaster. The Lucky quality cannot be combined with Exceptional Attribute.
*<b>Photographic Memory</b>
**6 Karma
**A character with Photographic Memory can instantly recall facts, dates, numbers, or anything else they have seen or heard. <b>The character gains a +2 dice pool modifier to all Memory Tests.</b>

<b>Negative</b>

*<b>Allergy: Moderate, Nickel</b>
**10 Karma
**A character with the Allergy quality is allergic to a substance or condition found in their environment. The value of this quality depends on two factors. The first is whether the substance or condition is Uncommon (<b>2 Karma</b>) or Common (7 Karma). Next, determine the severity of the symptoms: Mild (3 Karma), Moderate (<b>8 Karma</b>), Severe (13 Karma), or Extreme (18 Karma). Add the appropriate point values together to find the final value. For example, the value of an Uncommon Moderate Allergy (Silver) is 10 Karma (2+8 Karma). <b>If a character is attacked with a substance to which they are allergic, they lose 1 die from their Resistance Test for each stage of severity of the Allergy (e.g., 1 die for a Mild allergy, 2 dice for a Moderate allergy, etc.).</b>
***Uncommon: The substance or condition is rare for the local environment. Examples: silver, gold, antibiotics, grass
***Moderate: Contact with the allergen produces intense pain. Apply a <b>-4 dice pool modifier to all Physical Tests made while a character experiences the symptoms.</b>
*<b>Distinctive Style</b>
**5 Karma
**A character with the Distinctive Style quality has at least one aspect of his appearance, mannerism, or personality that makes them inconveniently memorable. Choices for Distinctive Style include, but are by no means limited to, tattoos that cannot be easily concealed, an accent or atypical manner of speaking, bizarre fashion choices, scars, gang or prison signs, flashy custom augmentations, or non-metahuman modifications like a tail. Note that what's distinctive in one culture or location may not be in another. Whatever Distinctive Style the player selects makes their character easy to remember. Anyone who attempts to identify, trace, or physically locate their character (or gain information about them via legwork) receives a <b>+2 dice pool modifer for relevant tests. If an NPC makes a Memory Test to determine how much they recall about the character, reduce the Difficulty Threshold by 1, to a minimum of 1.</b>
